Hello James, we love your new graphic images, they are such great resources. It has been such a long time since you were here at Claremont College but our original staff still talk about being 'in the pit' or giving our students learning opportunities where they are 'in the pit', so you have have a lasting impact. These new resources will we very useful with our new staff who haven't been lucky enough to hear you speak. Regards, Janelle

Thank you for these resources James. I heard you speak in Ealing today and thought you were inspirational and will certainly put our school on this journey. Many thanks. Jane

These resources are visible for our school community to understand and utilise for learning challenges- the SOLO graphics are good to see.

Thanks for all this. Very useful. The pit analogy in History and the Humanities is very apt. Great presentation at St.Teresa's Noosaville by James last week. The staff are still talking about it; after all what is food?

Thanks you James for a thought provoking and inspiring presentation you gave for the Waikato Principals in Hamilton on 13/03/2017. My deputy principal and I have come back to school with a renewed passion to inspire our teachers to make it more "interesting" rather than challenging. Thank you for giving us a "eureka" moment!

This metaphor resonates with me as a pre-service teacher in the throes of assessment. Many of us are in learning pits with concepts in education and learning. Your work reminds me not to give up and to keep going. I will definitely use the posters in my own classroom with my learners, when the time comes.... Thank you!

I have started this concept with my schools. Fits in so well with developing growth mindset, student agency...love the concept. Thank you so much!!
