Developing Resilient Learners with James Nottingham
James Nottingham is the creator of the Learning Pit, author of 9 books, and employer of 30 staff in 6 countries. He has been a teaching assistant, teacher and leader across the 3-19 age range, and is now one of the most sought-after keynote speakers and in-school consultants.
Following his most recent tour with Professor Carol Dweck, he is offering an in-depth exploration of the best ways to develop resilience, curiosity and deep learning through:
- Understanding how, when and for whom growth mindset helps, as well as when it doesn’t
- Identifying the best ways to boost student efficacy as well as staff collective efficacy
- Determining how to adjust feedback processes so that the actual gains live up to those identified by research (between 50-83% gain in progress)
- Exploring how the Learning Pit encourages pupils to step out of their comfort zone and to stick at their learning until they achieve a deep level of mastery
Each event is suitable for leaders, teachers and consultants working across the 3-19 age range.
The event costs £220pp plus VAT, including lunch, refreshments and a signed copy of James Nottingham’s most recent book, Challenging Mindset.
