Our in-depth professional learning processes are at the core of what we do at Challenging Learning. It is these processes that lead to the greatest benefit for staff, students, and community members.  Since our inception in 2006, we have worked with more than 600 schools, pre-schools, colleges and municipalities/districts in 12 countries on long-term processes that have achieved sustained and proven results. More than half of these have been through the Challenging Learning Process.

The Challenging Learning Process

Working with us on a CLP places an emphasis on process. We don’t just deliver a series of workshops. The journey we take together is on-going and developmental, building capacity to help you achieve your goals and leave a lasting legacy.

The CLP is a process based on evidence. We collect baseline data at the beginning and monitor progress through data collection, observation reports and regular visits. By gathering evidence, we are able to present to you a true representation of the current situation in your organisation and work with you to set realistic and achievable goals.

Our projects require top-down and bottom-up approaches to succeed. We know this through the many years of working with schools, pre-schools and colleges all over the world. As the CLP is implemented, we will embed change at every level: leaders, coaches, teachers, support staff and parents, to help you achieve the success you require.

CLP Outcomes

No two CLP projects are the same. We understand that whilst most schools, pre-schools, and colleges share common issues, it is the make-up of your structures, staff, culture, history, location, budget, parents and students that make you unique. This makes it difficult to say exactly what will be achieved until we have designed a process with you, for your context. However, typical gains include increased staff engagement and satisfaction; improved student motivation, resilience and curiosity; the development of a shared language for learning within and between different sectors; better use of feedback and dialogue to enhance student learning; and a healthier attitude towards challenge, progress and achievement.
