Week 1: Risk

This week-long plan based on the concept of risk can be used to encourage critical thinking, engaging dialogue, and interdisciplinary learning.  It contains activities for the whole family that can be adapted for multiple ages.  Some of the activities can be adapted and used in an ongoing way.

SUCCESS CRITERIA:
We will:

  • Identify and rank activities which present the most risk to us.
  • Discuss and question our understanding of the concept risk.
  • Examine and explore the risks taken by a character in a story.
  • Evaluate and judge the level of risk in games and other activities that involve chance.
